Learn Piping or Drumming with
KHPB
The Keith Highlanders Pipe Band offers
structured classes every Wednesday from 6:30-7:20pm, and several band
members are also available for private instruction.
KHPB
holds classes for beginning and intermediate piping and drumming students every
Wednesday, 6:30 - 7:30pm, and we welcome new students of all ages, genders,
races, and backgrounds--no experience necessary!
KHPB lessons are free
to those 17 years of age and younger! Younger students must still purchase a
practice chanter or drum pad and sticks as well as a KHPB tutor book.
Beginning students will learn the basic techniques of piping or drumming and
will be able to play simple tunes at the end of a ten-week session. Students
will need a practice chanter or drum sticks/pad and these are available at a
low cost from the instructors. Classes are held in ten-week sets, but new
students may join at anytime. The full adult cost for this session is $150 (pro-rated if
you join after week one), which equals $15 per class...a real bargain!
The next sessions begin on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010
at
St. Thomas Church in Medina
(See a map)
and will run for ten weeks.
Adult
Cost: 10 sessions x $15 = $150, plus piping chanter or
drums sticks.
