The Keith Highlanders Pipe Band practices every Wednesday night, from
7:30-9:30pm, at the St. Thomas Episcopal church in Medina. The band is always
looking for new pipers and drummers and prospective members are welcome at any
band practice.
To practice in the circle with the band, new members are required to pass the minimum repertoire
(KHPB settings) on their instrument:
- Amazing Grace
- Scotland the Brave
- Dream Valley of Glendaruel
- The Meeting of the Waters
- The Bloody Fields of Flanders
- Drunken Piper
- P/M Willie Ross's Farewell to the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards
- Green Hills of Tyrol
Interested players should come
to a practice or
contact the band to get the full repertoire, including KHPB settings for the
minimum set of tunes above.
Under the guidance of Pipe Major Greg MacDonald,
the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band has enjoyed competitive success in both the
Pacific Northwest and abroad over the past several years. To compete with the
band, players must achieve proficiency and comfort with both their instrument
and the competition tunes.
